Quick and Easy Chili and Cornbread

Here's a semi-homemade recipe I use when I've run out of ideas (which is pretty often). I love this chili because I can use almost all organic ingredients, because let's face it: ground beef is a little shady.

CHILI
Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
2 medium red onions, chopped
1 can pinto or kidney beans
1 packet Old El Paso chili seasoning

Directions:
1.In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. When the beef is almost done browning, add the chopped red onions and cook until the onions are soft, about 2 minutes. Drain the beef and onion mixture.
2.Add pasta sauce, beans and chili seasoning mix. Stir well and allow to simmer for 5 minutes.

CORNBREAD

I've tried all variety of cornbread from stores, restaurants and even a few recipes, but nothing beats the cornbread mix from Penguin Natural Foods in ease and taste.

Each pouch is already perfectly apportioned and all you do is add an egg and oil, then bake. Quick, easy and delish! My kind of meal.

  2. I had to delete my comment because I spelled cheddar wrong and felt stupid...but now that it says Post removed by author it adds mystery and intrigue...no not really...here is my post, with the spelling error because I embrace my faults.
